5/27/2021 Allegiant Air Begins Seasonal Service to Five Destinations from San Diego International Airport

Today, Allegiant Air began seasonal nonstop service from San Diego International Airport (SAN) to Mesa Ariz. via Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA). The airline will begin seasonal nonstop service to Kalispell, Mont. via Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) and Pasco, Wash. via Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) tomorrow, May 28. Flights to all three destinations will be offered until August 16. Beginning June 3, Allegiant Air will offer nonstop service to Bozeman, Mont. via Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) through August 15. Beginning July 1, Allegiant Air will offer nonstop service to Des Moines, Iowa via Des Moines International Airport (DSM) through August 15.

5/20/2021 Alaska Airlines Begins Three New Nonstop Routes from San Diego International Airport

Today, Alaska Airlines began daily nonstop service from San Diego International Airport (SAN) to New York via John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and seasonal nonstop service to Bozeman, Mont. via Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN). The airline will begin seasonal nonstop service to Kalispell, Mont. via Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) tomorrow, May 21.

5/19/2021 Southwest Airlines Expands Service to Hawaii from San Diego International Airport

Southwest Airlines has announced it will expand service to Hawaii from San Diego International Airport (SAN) by adding nonstop service to three Hawaiian cities and expanding their Honolulu service from one flight daily to two flights daily beginning June 6.

5/5/2021 Airport Cell Phone Lot Reopens

Picking up passengers at the San Diego International Airport? Avoid driving in circles and park in the airport’s Cell Phone Lot free of charge. Beginning Saturday, May 8, this temporary way-station will reopen and offer approximately 100 parking spaces for drivers to park and wait for arriving passengers. The airport Cell Phone Lot closed in April 2020 when state and county health and safety orders increased and passenger volumes decreased with the spread of COVID-19.
