The health and safety of our travelers, employees, and all airport users are SAN’s top priorities. To protect the health and safety of the San Diego region, our offices are closed to the public starting March 18 as part of the nationwide effort to limit the spread of coronavirus.
Getting to the airport? The Airport is served by I-5 with connections to State Route 163, I-8 and I-15.
There are a number of public transportation services available to you at any given time when you need to get to and from the Airport.
Off-airport rental car agencies are served by free shuttle service from multiple locations throughout the terminals.
Several companies offer Ride Share services at San Diego International Airport. Travelers can be dropped off curbside at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
Courtesy shuttles to participating San Diego-area hotels are located at the Hotel Courtesy Shuttle zones on the transit islands at terminals 1 and 2.
Taxis depart from the designated taxi zones located at the transit islands, on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level adjacent to each terminal.
To gain access to the airport via bicycle, San Diego offers a convenient bike & transit option that is safe and environmentally friendly.
