The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (Airport Authority) announced that its newly constructed Administration Building has been awarded the Gold certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system.

Thirteen years after San Diego International Airport (SAN) began offering daily flights between San Diego and London on British Airways the route has become so popular that British Airways is increasing the frequency from one flight per day to two.

San Diego International Airport visitors and employees may have noticed increased maintenance and construction activities inside Terminal 2 West (T2W), which primarily serves Air Canada, British Airways, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, United Airlines, and WestJet. 

A project to replace faulty water pipes throughout T2W is expected to begin this fall, and maintenance teams are preparing for those activities.
