Bonds Ratings Affirmed for Airport’s Rental Car Center

Moody’s Ratings (Moody’s) has recently upgraded San Diego County Regional Airport Authority’s (Airport Authority) approximately $1.06 billion outstanding senior airport revenue bonds to Aa3 from A1 and approximately $2.75 billion outstanding subordinate lien bonds to A1 from A2. Moody’s has also revised the airport’s outlook from positive to stable.

Passengers are Urged to Plan Ahead

San Diego International Airport (SAN) anticipates a busy Thanksgiving holiday travel week with as many as 460,000 people traveling through the airport from Tuesday, November 26 to Sunday, December 1. During the six-day holiday travel week, as many as 76,000 passengers are expected to arrive and depart each day.

New Route Begins in May 2025

San Diego International Airport (SAN) welcomes KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) as its seventh international airline to offer service from San Diego. Beginning May 8, 2025, the airline will offer three weekly flights between San Diego and Amsterdam, Netherlands.

SAN’s SSP America (SSP) restaurants have been identified as Certified Green Restaurants® among U.S.’s airports.  SSP America worked with the Green Restaurant Association (GRA), which verified that 172 locations, SAN’s SSP restaurants included, have collectively implemented over 4,330 environmental steps to earn more than 20,390 GreenPointsTM.
