San Diego International Airport is welcoming a familiar face into a new leadership role.
Beginning July 1, Lee Kaminetz will serve as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. While the title is new, Lee is no stranger to SAN. He’s been part of the Airport Authority’s legal team for more than 20 years, most recently serving as Assistant General Counsel.
Over the years, Lee has helped guide the legal work behind many of the projects and decisions that keep the airport operating every day and preparing for the future. As General Counsel, he’ll serve as the Airport Authority’s chief legal advisor, working closely with the Board of Directors, President & CEO, Auditor, and staff on everything from airport operations to long-term planning and development.
Lee brings nearly 30 years of legal experience to the position and has spent much of his career helping advance the Airport Authority’s mission of connecting our region to the world. His deep understanding of the organization and commitment to public service make him well positioned to help guide SAN through its next chapter.
Lee succeeds Amy Gonzalez, who retired after 23 years with the Airport Authority. We thank Amy for her years of dedicated service and the lasting impact she made on SAN, and we wish her all the best in retirement.
