Passenger Services
Text Telephones
Text telephones are located throughout all Airport terminals. Consult the
terminal maps for specific locations.
Visual Paging
Visual Paging monitors are placed at clearly designated locations throughout all
the Airport terminals. Instructions for using the Visual Paging System are
contained on each monitor. To place a visual page, proceed to any courtesy phone
or TDD public phone location.
Elevators
All public elevators contain Braille and lowered control panels to facilitate
ease of use.
Restrooms
All Airport restrooms contain at least one larger stall and “grab” bars to
accommodate individuals with accessibility needs.
Security Assistance
Travelers who require special assistance should contact airlines ahead of time
to request assistance in reaching airline-boarding gates. San Diego
International Airport and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) have
implemented increased security for all airline passengers. These heightened
security measures may result in longer waiting times to pass through security
checkpoints.
Baggage Check and Claim
Baggage claim carousels are centrally located in each terminal. For assistance,
contact the appropriate baggage claim office or airline ticket counter.
Eateries
The Airport offers a variety of locally owned and nationally known eateries.
Most of these establishments contain lowered counter tops and sufficient aisle
space to accommodate people with various accessibility requirements. Restaurant
staff is always available to help if assistance is required.
Shops
The Airport offers an exciting mix of shopping choices, including San
Diego-based shops and national brand favorites. All gift shops are arranged to
provide ample space for browsing. Help is always available from retail staff.
Please ask for assistance.
