Want to go green when shopping or dining at San Diego International Airport? Check out our Green Concessions Program.
The program was developed in-house by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority’s Planning, Noise and Environment Department to give the airport’s food & beverage and retail concessions a tangible blueprint to make their operations more sustainable.
Concessions are required to implement energy, water, and food reduction strategies, purchase sustainable products, recycle waste and compost, and utilize socially responsible measures whenever possible.
More than 40 concessions are participating in the program. The SAN Green Concessions Program certification lasts for one year and requires check-ins on an annual basis with Airport Authority staff. They are designated by a Green Concessions decal near their storefronts.
