Heads up! To enhance safety, accessibility, and pedestrian flow, work on the Terminal 2 Sidewalk and Crosswalk Improvement Project has begun and will continue through July 1.
The work includes:
- Repairing and replacing deteriorated sidewalk sections.
- Widening and reconfiguring the main crosswalk to provide more space for pedestrians.
- New striping and curb adjustments.
While most work is scheduled overnight to minimize impacts, passengers and drivers should be on the lookout for detours, construction markers, and reduced curbside access at Terminal 2.
Currently, the Inter-terminal Shuttle stop at T2 East by Zone O is closed to accommodate the project. Passengers can still access the T2 West stop by Zone T (West Sky Bridge), about a 4-minute walk from T2 East, with shuttles arriving every 20 minutes.
Below are the project phases of the T2 Sidewalk and Crosswalk Improvement Project:
Phase 1—January 5 – February 11, 2026
Sidewalk repairs on the east end of the baggage claim area, from the Interterminal Bus Stop to approximately Zone O.
Phase 2—February 17 – April 9, 2026
Continuation of sidewalk repairs from Zone O to the traffic signal at the center of the terminal.
Phase 3—April 10 – May 12, 2026
Final segment of sidewalk repairs, covering the curb area immediately after the crosswalk through approximately Zone S.
Phase 4—May 13 – May 28, 2026
Crosswalk improvements begin. This phase widens the northwest corner of the crosswalk.
Phase 5—May 29 – June 12, 2026
Widening of the southwest corner of the crosswalk.
Phase 6—June 15, 2026
Restriping of the southeast corner of the crosswalk.
Phase 7—June 16 – June 17, 2026
Restriping of the northeast corner of the crosswalk.
Thank you for your cooperation during this time!
