Scott Brickner is Chief Financial Officer at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority and leads its Accounting, Airline Relations, Business Intelligence, Finance, Risk Management, Information Technology, and Procurement functions. Prior to joining the Airport Authority in 2009, Mr. Brickner held various senior management positions in the private sector.
Since joining the Airport Authority, Mr. Brickner has led multiple airport revenue bond financings totaling over $5 billion which funded critical airport improvements such as the New T1, Terminal 2 Green Build expansion, and the Rental Car Center.
He currently serves on the Board of the Mater Day Catholic High School Foundation, the UCSD Newman Center Finance Council, and he previously served on the Finance Steering Committee of Airports Council International (ACI) as well as the San Diego Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI). Honors include San Diego Business Journal’s CFO of the Year for 2023 and 2016, ACI’s Financial Professional of the Year for large airport hubs in 2019, and nomination for FEI’s Financial Executive of the Year in 2019.
He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Benedictine College in Kansas, an MBA from St. Louis University, and has an active CPA license in the state of California.
