Sheryl Oring’s inviting communal table is the culmination of her time as artist-in-residence at San Diego International Airport. The surface of the table is inscribed with excerpts of individual travel stories collected during a unique, participatory performance. Oring was inspired by her experience to create an iconic meeting place where passengers might trace the stories of others and be prompted to recall their own favorite memories of travel.
