Alaska Airlines Begins Three New Nonstop Routes from San Diego International Airport

Thursday, May 20, 2021

Today, Alaska Airlines began daily nonstop service from San Diego International Airport (SAN) to New York via John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and seasonal nonstop service to Bozeman, Mont. via Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN). The airline will begin seasonal nonstop service to Kalispell, Mont. via Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) tomorrow, May 21.

“Alaska Airlines’ new flights to JFK will provide San Diegans yet another option to access the greater New York area,” said Kimberly Becker, President and CEO of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. “We are excited to add more service to Montana, a state that has an abundance of outdoor recreation and is home to several National Parks. I would like to thank Alaska Airlines for their continued investment in our community.”

Alaska Airlines will offer nonstop service to Bozeman and Kalispell through September 7. On March 18, Alaska Airlines began year-round nonstop service to Missoula, Mont. With these additions, Alaska Airlines now offers nonstop service to 32 destinations from San Diego, more than any other carrier at SAN. SAN has achieved Airports Council International’s (ACI) Airport Health Accreditation for its “Let’s Go Safely” program which prioritizes the health and safety of passengers, employees, and the community through several modifications and improvements at the airport. Health and safety modifications that have been implemented throughout the terminals, Rental Car Center, Parking Plaza, and Airport Authority administration building include increased cleaning of high touch points, electrostatic spraying, signage on preventive health measures, floor decals, and seat separation signage to queue six-foot social distance, hand sanitizer stations, Plexiglas sneeze guards in certain public spaces, and face masks are required on all airport property.
