Airport Authority celebrates new nonstop service between San Diego and Burbank on SeaPort Airlines

Wednesday, October 1, 2014

SAN DIEGO – October 1, 2014 – The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority celebrated the inaugural flight today between San Diego International Airport (SAN) and Burbank Bob Hope Airport (BUR). With four roundtrip flights operating each weekday, one roundtrip on Saturday, and two roundtrips on Sunday, the new nonstop service will provide another convenient option for travelers to access downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood-area without the challenges of auto traffic.

The new San Diego – Burbank route complements existing service between San Diego – El Centro/Imperial, CA offered by SeaPort. The airline has also proposed new service between San Diego – San Felipe (Baja California, Mexico) which will be timed to allow connections with the San Diego – Burbank route. Pending approvals from the US and Mexican governments, the new San Diego – San Felipe service is anticipated to begin in November 2014.

All San Diego – Burbank flights are scheduled to take 65 minutes from gate to gate. SeaPort Airlines operates out of San Diego International Airport’s Commuter Terminal.

Flights schedules for the new service are shown below:
