Lee Kaminetz – General Counsel

Lee Kaminetz is the General Counsel for the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority and San Diego International Airport (SAN). He brings nearly 30 years of legal experience to the role, including more than 20 years serving the Airport Authority in a variety of legal positions, most recently as Assistant General Counsel. Throughout his tenure, he has provided legal guidance on complex issues involving airport operations, governance, development, procurement, environmental matters, and public agency law.

As General Counsel, Kaminetz serves as the Airport Authority’s chief legal advisor, providing counsel to the Board of Directors, President and CEO, Auditor, and staff on matters critical to the planning, operation, development, and management of one of the nation’s busiest single-runway airports.

Kaminetz is admitted to practice law in California and Maryland (inactive). He earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Maryland School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, magna cum laude, from Wake Forest University.
