Public Art
While visiting San Diego International Airport, as you make your way to your gate, consider which concession to enjoy, or collect your luggage, take time to notice the arts around you. Whether they be visual or performance-based, the arts at SAN were conceived with you in mind. Arrive early, visit often, and be inspired.
The Public Art Program
The Public Art Program is charged with developing a broad collection of permanent artwork that supports and enhances the mission of the Airport Authority. Artworks in the Public Art Collection range from dramatic gestures to more subtle interventions. Each work is thoughtfully integrated into the airport environment, with artists involved from the initial planning and design phase of each major development project.
