San Diego International Airport Adds Seasonal Nonstop Service to Loreto, Mexico

Alaska Airlines New Route Marks Airline’s 50th Destination from SAN

Alaska Airlines has announced it will launch new seasonal nonstop service between San Diego International Airport (SAN) and Loreto International Airport (LTO) in Mexico, marking the airline’s 50th nonstop destination from SAN.

The new service will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays from December 19, 2026, through April 28, 2027.

“Alaska’s new service to Loreto will give San Diego travelers another convenient option for international travel and further expand our connections to Mexico,” said Atif Saeed, President and CEO of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. “Expanding international service supports our goal of providing travelers with convenient access to destinations around the world.”

Loreto will be the third destination in Mexico served nonstop from SAN and the airport’s 12th international destination. SAN will be the fourth U.S. airport with nonstop international service to Loreto.
