San Diego International Airport (SAN) is recognizing four airlines for helping reduce aircraft noise and supporting quieter operations for our surrounding community.
The 2025 Fly Quiet Awards, which honor airlines that make noise reduction a priority during arrivals and departures. This year’s winners are:
This marks the second consecutive year all four airlines have earned a Fly Quiet Award.
The 2025 program evaluated 27 airlines and more than 210,000 operations at SAN. The results reflect continued progress, including increased use of newer, quieter aircraft and strong compliance with SAN’s overnight curfew, which prohibits departures between 11:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
The Fly Quiet Program, launched in 2017 in partnership with the Airport Noise Advisory Committee (ANAC), encourages airlines to operate as quietly as possible while balancing the needs of travelers and the surrounding community. Airlines are evaluated on factors including aircraft type, fleet noise levels, and curfew compliance.
The Airport Authority will continue working with airlines and the community to support quieter operations at SAN.
