Construction Advisories
The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority has launched a construction alert
system to keep you informed about construction around Terminal 2 related to The
Green Build, the largest project in the airport’s history.
E-alerts offer timely updates about construction activity, including parking relocation
and other potential impacts on travel to and from the airport. Please view the latest
e-alerts below, or use the button on the left to have the e-alerts delivered directly
to your inbox.

East End of Spruance Road Temporarily Closed
The east end of Spruance Road, which connects to the Terminal 2 airport roadway
(see map below), has been closed to allow for underground utility work. The closure
will also allow construction teams to realign Spruance Road, and create additional
room for construction of the 460,000 square-foot addition to Terminal 2 and the
dual-level roadway in front of the terminal.
To access airport roadways from Spruance Road, drivers will need to travel west
on Spruance Road to McCain Road and use Harbor Drive.
Spruance Road will reopen and connect with airport roadways in the November timeframe,
when the realignment is complete.
