Tim is
the 2009 Terminal Development Program intern. A San Diego native and graduate of
Oceanside’s El Camino High School, he participated in Academic League and was a
principal violist in the school’s string orchestra and string quartet. Currently,
he attends the University of California, San Diego where he received their $20,000
Chancellor’s Scholarship. This fall, he will be completing his degrees in Political
Science – Comparative Politics and Urban Studies and Planning. At UC San Diego,
he has done work as a teaching apprentice under Mirle Bussell and has worked as
a tutor at the Preuss School, a charter middle and high school for low-income, first-generation
college-bound students. He is a member of the American Political Science Association
and is currently developing a blog to showcase his interests in architecture, motor
sports, music, and a wealth of other topics. After graduation, his path is foggy
at best. He may remain in academia as a professor in Political Science or he may
pursue a career in planning, the aviation industry, or education. Wherever he ends
up, he hopes that the food will be good, and his work fulfilling and enjoyable.
