John is currently a student at Point Loma Nazarene University, where he is studying Computer Science. He enjoys programming software and problem solving in order to create a functioning program. He is originally from Tucson, Arizona, but moved to San Diego after graduating from high school. He left Tucson when he was eighteen to escape the heat. John enjoys playing tennis and swimming during his free time. Additionally, he enjoys learning about technology, and builds and repairs his own computers. John hopes to work for a large company such as Blizzard, Raytheon, or Boeing as a programmer, and plans on getting his Master’s and PhD in Computer Science while working full-time. He is the first in his family to work towards a Bachelor’s and would be the first to attain both a Master’s and PhD. He would prefer to stay in the San Diego or Los Angeles area after completing undergraduate degree so that he can continue to enjoy the California weather.

John has an interest in aviation and technology. In high school, John was part of the Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol. As he participated, he was allowed orientation flights in a Cessna, which sparked his interest in flying. Since then, he has kept up on news and information regarding airports, and loves to visit new airports. John’s favorite airport is Philadelphia International Airport because of its size and layout with numerous storefronts. He enjoys doing research into the rules and regulations that airports have to follow, and how pilots must comply with the regulations as well. To continue pursuing this interest in aviation, he has started his internship at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.
