Jessica is a San Diego native. She was raised by a very politically boisterous and economically concerned family – their years of constant barrage on the subjects led to her subsequent interest in state and local government operations. She recently graduated from San Diego State University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Political Science – with an emphasis in International Politics and Political Violence; and a minor in Economics. Jessica is a member of the San Diego chapter of the International Rescue Committee which is a non-profit organization that works to relocate refugees from war-torn countries to the United States; also helping them to find jobs and become accustomed with societal norms.

She has always been fascinated by the size and sounds of airplanes in general, but stated that her opinion of the aviation industry has definitely changed since spending quality work time here at the Authority; all of the "behind the scenes" activity has opened her eyes to a new world of exciting employment possibilities. Jessica hopes that the skills and knowledge that she is gaining throughout this summer will enable her to go on to further peruse a career within the finance and government arenas. Her hobbies include playing the drums, soccer and tennis, snowboarding and following the stock market.
