Land Use Compatibility
Public Outreach Efforts
In November 2005, the Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) provided direction to staff
to form the Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan Technical Advisory Group (ATAG).
This group was established to allow interested stakeholders to share their input
about Airport Land Use Compatibility Plans (ALUCPs) with staff. The formation of the ATAG enabled the Authority to work with
a broad range of stakeholders to ensure that their issues and interests were considered
during the airport land use compatibility planning process for the rural, Marine
Corps, and urban airport ALUCPs.
Since regional issues associated with airport land use planning have been resolved,
the focus will now be on individual airport issues for the few remaining ALUCPs
that require updating. In order to ensure the ALUCP for SDIA is developed with the
input of specifically affected stakeholders, the SDIA Steering Committee has been
created. If you are interested in participating in the Steering Committee, please
send an email to alucpcomments@san.org to be added to the interest list.
