ALUCP Factors
- Each Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan (ALUCP) has an Airport
Influence Area (AIA),
- The AIA is a defined area around an airport
and is determined by several factors including safety, airspace
protection, noise
and overflight concerns.
- Within the AIA, the ALUCPs provide
certain limitations to land uses to protect airport operations
and communities.
- Based on the recommendation of the Airport
Land Use Compatibility Technical Advisory Group (ATAG) and
the ALUCPs adopted by
the Airport Land Use Commission, the new ALUCPs will be organized
by four zones, which are the four standard compatibility
factors
as specified in the California Airport Land Use Handbook,
e.g., safety, airspace protection, noise and overflight.
The Airport
Authority is no longer using a composite approach to zoning.
