Advisory CommitteesAd Hoc Airport Regional Policy CommitteeThe Ad Hoc Airport Regional Policy Committee will hold its first meeting April 23, 2008. The group will lead the creative visioning for the build-out of Lindbergh Field and other modes of transportation that might include a multimodal transportation center. The Advisory Committee The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority Act calls for the Airport Authority to form an advisory committee to assist the Airport Authority Board in its responsibilities related to the planning and development of all airport facilities for the County of San Diego. The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to serve as a sounding board and catalyst for the development of recommendations to the Airport Authority Board on issues for which the Airport Authority is responsible. The committee has been established with a membership representing a diverse and engaged constituency. Its wide range of expertise and community credibility provides a well balanced sounding board and catalyst for development of recommendations to the Airport Authority Board. It is of significant importance that the Board is aware of the needs of the committee's constituencies in forming its policies in order for its policies to be widely accepted. The Airport Authority will be adopting highly contentious airport land use plans for the County Airports and an Airport Master Plan for Lindbergh Field. It is important that the committee is able to become a conduit between the Board and those it represents to ensure the Airport Authority is successful in providing the best possible long-term air transportation solutions for the people of San Diego. Advisory Committee meetings will be held on a Thursday in each of the months of January, April, July and October of 2007. Airport Transit/Roadway CommitteeThe purpose of the Airport Transit/Roadway Committee is to identify potential enhancements to the transportation system to serve the airport, and advise the Airport Master Plan Technical Committee on potential recommendations and transportation improvements to respective boards with the following goals:

Airport Art Advisory Committee The Airport Art Advisory Committee provides expertise and advice to the Executive Director on matters relating to the consideration and recommendation on artist selection, borrowing and/or lending of art, deaccessioning of public artwork and temporary and rotating exhibits.
