Volunteer Airport Ambassadors are San Diego's information source for business and leisure travelers, as well as meeters and greeters at San Diego International Airport. Visible in their green polo shirts with “Airport Information” emblazoned on the back, more than 350 highly trained ambassadors provide free airport information and terminal wayfinding assistance.
Volunteers have specific information pertaining to hotels, rental cars, taxicabs, ride-hailing services, courtesy shuttles, and public transportation. Volunteers staff information centers in the baggage claim area of Terminals 1 and 2, roam the terminals providing mobile information, and drive a courtesy cart in Terminal 2 West to assist passengers who may require mobility assistance.
Assistance is available at these information centers:
- Terminal 1 – 619.400.2261 or 619.400.2263
- Terminal 2 (Carousels 1-6) – 619.400.2262 or 619.400.2264
- Terminal 2 (Carousels 7&8) – 619.574.8299
The program is administered by
Travelers Aid Society of San Diego and managed by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.
